Is It Worth It ? Cause I'm Watching

I didnt want to tell him no,
I didnt think I would sell my soul
I didnt think he'd be a homosexual
I thought those words would be to cold.

So what a little compromise
Its not like its my demise
C'mon people do it all the time
This one time wont make you lose your mind

Why should I have to embrace the Cross
My life is fine Im not lost
Do you see my life the car I drive
My clothes I wear I look just fine

There's nothing more that's left to say
I run my life Ill be ok
I live my life I live for one
I run the street I have my fun
And when I feel my run is done

Ill take my time and get it right
Whats the rush God's patient right
He saw how hard I fought to fight

Plus Christians do it day and night
They barely read or yet recite
The Word He says will bring them life.

So while your judging me about doing me
Find out why You Still Doin YOU

Cause Im Watching ( a person getting an impression about Your salvation)

Are you Willing

Are You Willing? That was the question that Holy Spirit asked me when I was in a time of prayer and meditation on His Word. Are You Willing? Again, asking the same question. Just like a child who presumes they know what their parents are asking I begin to say yes Lord Im willing, Ill go where you tell me, I ll pray for people, Ill do the right thing. Ill be those hands and feet for you. He asked, Again Are You Willing? So I stopped getting a little hurt by the fact that my answers obviously didnt measure up to what He wanted to hear. Do you eat the good of the land, Faith?I guess so. No, take a good hard look and tell me, do you believe that you eat the good of the land to the fullest. No,Lord. Why, not ? I guess I've not been obedient. Is that what My word says that if your obedient you will eat the good of the land. Then he reminded me as I begin to search my heart on a not so prideful level and the word Willing was heard. The word says in Isa 1:19 that if your are Willing and Obedient that you Shall eat the good of the land , 20 goes on to say but if not you will be devoured with the the dogs(message version). Oh Wow! So HE begin to show me that it's not so much of me not being obedient but of my willigness to Him to be obedient. This scripture is misquoted alot and we go through the regiment of doing things and saying were obedient when really verse 20 tells us that we are rebellious. Yet, we desire for the things in our lives to prosper. I think we get submissveness and obedience confused. We believe that we can do things and in our hearts be rebellious about it and that the blessings of God and eating the good of the land will fall upon it. Now dont get me wrong God is Soveriegn and can choose to bless the work of our hands by our submission to someone else's vision or purpose or even just taking the background to someone else and coming in second. He can do whatever He wants. I believe though that He wants us to get the full truth from His Word. For me to understand that the fullness of the good of the land will come and will even come much easier as I am Willing And Obedient. It goes back to our relationship with the One we say we love, serve, and adore. Why would we not be willing to be obedient to what He requires that we may benefit eating the best of the land(NIV version). This was a wake up for me to really search my heart and ask Holy Spirit to usher it into a place of Complete Willing and Obedience. That's a tall cup to drink , but for what He's done and is doing for me I believe its well worth it. Wont You Drink?

Romans 5: 19
For just as one man's disobedience made many sinners , so also the (willing) obedience of one Man has made us righteous. Italics added.

Abide

Abide Abide Abide Abide . Abide in My love. Abide in My temple. Abide in My rest. Abide in My shadow. Father asks us, pleads ,and even is beckoning us to abide in Him. When all else fails we must learn to abide from the One with whom is the lover of our souls. He is the One within whom all life exists. Yet He is willing to allow us to choose our own way. A lot of times our way is less abiding and more running or hiding or demanding. We miss out on the peace and the joy of abiding in the Sovereignty of God. All the protection and provision that we would ever need in this lifetime and beyond comes from Him.We have settled for a common god made out of glass and wood. How about this, one made from wicked corruptible flesh. Our abiding has become distorted. We have been blinded by the temporary comforts of this world. We have begun to steadily fall sleep and away from what truly fuels this life and our hearts. In John 15:5 Jesus tells us " I am the vinedresser and you are the branches outside of Me you can do nothing". What did we really think this to mean? We have fallen for the illusions of Babylon as we are seduced with the wine and food of this seductress and her many pleasures that lead us to the pit and the grave. Its time that we truly wake up and abide in the life of Christ seeing Him as a dependant source that will never run dry. It time to reevaluate our stance with the King of all creation. Ask yourself these questions and gauge the temperature of your own heart.
  1. Do I desire to be what Father God has called me to be?
  2. Do I gauge my importance off of TV shows such as Oprah or BET, MTV etc.
  3. When was the last time I prayed to God?
  4. When was the last time I forgave someone who hurt me or even myself?
  5. When was the last time I confronted issues in my life with the Word and repented for them wholeheartedly?
  6. What does Matt 6:33 say?
  7. Who does God say I am?
  8. Who have I touched today that there lives will never be the same eternally?
  9. When was the last time I took a drink (sip) from Babylon's cup or ate bread from her table?
  10. Has the revelation of the Cross radically altered my life? If not what is my point for carrying His name or not carrying His name?

These are not some religious rules that if you don't answer all of them a certain way your destined for heaven or hell. They are questions to provoke you to look inside your heart. Check your motives and press in to a Father who is deeply in love with you and longs for relationship not just routine. Intimacy not imitation. Love not lethargy. Passion not passivity. The list goes on and on of the things that Father longs for us as His beloved children. The best part of it is He never leaves us to do it alone. He's right there with us, arms wide open and waiting. He already gave the invitation. Now He just wants our response and He will leads us the rest of the Way. If we would only follow. Won't you Come?

For now I say, Come Lord Jesus Come!

JOHN 15:5

Outside of You we can do nothing Jesus! Let this be our Declaration of Dependence for the rest of our lives. I pledge allegiance to the Cross!
