Abide

Abide Abide Abide Abide . Abide in My love. Abide in My temple. Abide in My rest. Abide in My shadow. Father asks us, pleads ,and even is beckoning us to abide in Him. When all else fails we must learn to abide from the One with whom is the lover of our souls. He is the One within whom all life exists. Yet He is willing to allow us to choose our own way. A lot of times our way is less abiding and more running or hiding or demanding. We miss out on the peace and the joy of abiding in the Sovereignty of God. All the protection and provision that we would ever need in this lifetime and beyond comes from Him.We have settled for a common god made out of glass and wood. How about this, one made from wicked corruptible flesh. Our abiding has become distorted. We have been blinded by the temporary comforts of this world. We have begun to steadily fall sleep and away from what truly fuels this life and our hearts. In John 15:5 Jesus tells us " I am the vinedresser and you are the branches outside of Me you can do nothing". What did we really think this to mean? We have fallen for the illusions of Babylon as we are seduced with the wine and food of this seductress and her many pleasures that lead us to the pit and the grave. Its time that we truly wake up and abide in the life of Christ seeing Him as a dependant source that will never run dry. It time to reevaluate our stance with the King of all creation. Ask yourself these questions and gauge the temperature of your own heart.
  1. Do I desire to be what Father God has called me to be?
  2. Do I gauge my importance off of TV shows such as Oprah or BET, MTV etc.
  3. When was the last time I prayed to God?
  4. When was the last time I forgave someone who hurt me or even myself?
  5. When was the last time I confronted issues in my life with the Word and repented for them wholeheartedly?
  6. What does Matt 6:33 say?
  7. Who does God say I am?
  8. Who have I touched today that there lives will never be the same eternally?
  9. When was the last time I took a drink (sip) from Babylon's cup or ate bread from her table?
  10. Has the revelation of the Cross radically altered my life? If not what is my point for carrying His name or not carrying His name?

These are not some religious rules that if you don't answer all of them a certain way your destined for heaven or hell. They are questions to provoke you to look inside your heart. Check your motives and press in to a Father who is deeply in love with you and longs for relationship not just routine. Intimacy not imitation. Love not lethargy. Passion not passivity. The list goes on and on of the things that Father longs for us as His beloved children. The best part of it is He never leaves us to do it alone. He's right there with us, arms wide open and waiting. He already gave the invitation. Now He just wants our response and He will leads us the rest of the Way. If we would only follow. Won't you Come?

For now I say, Come Lord Jesus Come!

Love and Peace

  1. What a word! How can we continue to claim Jesus as Master and never examine where we really are spiritually. The TRUTH will set us free. Thank you for pure TRUTH!
